1. MCRD – IAB- FIP (Fellowship in Interventional Pulmonology)

The interventional Pulmonology fellowship at Metro Centre for Respiratory Disease (Metro Hospital and Heart Institute) provides a distinctive training for selected individual aspiring to achieve the mandatory skills for a career in Interventional Pulmonology.

We endeavor to offer the convenient balance of research, education and clinical training and thus have designed a one year fellowship around these goals.

Course Duration:

• One Year full time course

Admission/Eligibility requirements for the course:

• Registration with Medical Council/ SMC is compulsory
• MD/DNB Tuberculosis and Respiratory Diseases/ Pulmonary Medicine, DM-Pulmonary Medicine/ Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine

Method of Selection:

• Each candidate will be selected exclusively on interview basis. Interview date will be notified to the candidate through phone/E-mail.

Fees:

• Each candidate needs to pay its Rs. 20,000/ as fees to IAB (Indian Association of Branchology). Candidate also needs to be a member of IAB (Indian Association of Branchology).

Stipend:

• Selected candidate will be paid salary of a senior resident as specified by MCRD Metro Hospital Norms.

Academic Year:

• Academic sessions will start from 15 May of each year.
• Each student will be sent for 2 weeks training for training in Lung Transplantation to Global Hospital, Chennai.

All candidates have to appear physically for interview on 24th April

2. Certified Course training – Emergency medicine CCT-EM by (SEMI)

Course Duration:

• 3 Year full-time course

Admission/Eligibility requirements for the course:

• MBBS/foreign graduated with MCI Registration
• Method of Selection Each candidate will be selected exclusively on interview & test basis. Interview date will be notified to the candidate through phone/E-mail.

Fees:

• Each candidate needs to pay Rs. One Lacs (100,000/) as fees to SEMI Two Lacs fee will be paid to the institute (MHHI).

Stipend:

• The selected candidate will be paid salary of a resident as specified by Metro Hospital Norms.

Academic Year:

• Academic sessions will start on the 1st of March every year.

Seats:

• Four in each academic session.

3. Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine (FCCM) College of Critical Care Medicine(Under auspices of Critical Care Education Foundation)

Course Duration:

• 2 Year full-time

Admission/Eligibility requirements:

• MBBS/Foreign Graduate with MCI Registration with 1-year work experience in ICU/Similar
• Method of Selection- Each candidate will be selected exclusively on an interview basis. The interview date will be notified to the candidate through phone/E-mail.

Fees:

• Rs. 30,775 for 1st year and Rs. 40,775 for 2nd year plus some other interaction and class fees. All the fees to be paid to the college directly.

Stipend:

• The selected candidate will be paid the salary of a resident as specified by Metro Hospital Norms.

Seats:

4. Fellowship in Pulmonary Physiotherapy

Course Duration:

• 1 year full-time

Admission/Eligibility requirements:

• BPT intern, BPT, MPT

Method of Selection:

• Each candidate will be selected exclusively based on an interview & Entrance exam. Interview dates will be notified via phone/email.

Fees:

• Course fee: 75,000/- INR

Stipend:

• 10,000/- INR per month

This course is for 3 years for the primary candidates and 2 years for the secondary candidates and eligibility as per NBE rules and regulations.
