Dr Saibal Chakravorty graduated and postgraduate from Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) in the year 1995. He is a Fellow of Royal College of Physician (FRCP) by Fellow of Royal College of Physicians Surgeons of Glasgow. He is a Fellow of Indian College of Physicians and Indian Academy of Clinical Medicine. He is a Fellow of International College of Nutrition (FICN). He is also an alumni of Cardiff University (UK). Subsequently he has worked in various prestigious institutions like Indra Prastha Apollo Hospital Ganga Ram Hospital. Following the initial period of training, he started his professional carrier as a junior Consultant Internal Medicine at Metro Hospitals and Heart Institute Noida. In the year 2000, he along with other members established API Noida Chapter. During his tenure as a secretary, he has conducted large number of CMEs, Mega Clinical Updates, and various conference attended by stalwarts in medical field from all over India. He has been the Chairperson faculty member at various forums, in national bodies and international meeting. He has delivered lectures at various conferences including RSSDI, UP APICON National APICON. He has keen interest towards research work and has conducted several international and national clinical trials as a principal investigator and co investigator with approval of ethics committee. He has also written several chapters in books of national repute. Currently he is Editor-in-Chief of UP Journal of Internal Medicine of India, an official journal of UP API.
Dr. Saibal Chakravorty has been active in research on basal insulin for last 28 years and has developed a thorough understanding of their pharmacodynamic pharmacokinetic effects on Indian Patients. He is an outstanding medical professional of repute.
