General Surgery

The department of surgery has been functioning at Metro Multi specialty Hospital since its inception in 1997. It has now evolved into a well-established unit, with facilities to undertake full spectrum of surgical procedures. The department is well equipped to effectively treat patients at high risk, being refused at other centers.

Accident and Emergency Services

The dept. of surgery offer 24 hrs surgical cover for the accident and acute cases in need of urgent surgery. All trauma cases are handled expeditiously by a trauma team including Orthopedist & neurosurgeon, led by the surgeon programmer. The surgical dept. conducts two weeks intensive course in ATLS (advanced trauma life support) once in a year, which is open to all surgeons and medical officers involved in trauma cases. Different centers provides pre hospital trauma care to both doctors and general public every month. This is an effort to educate first aid measures and evacuation techniques in trauma patients.

Special OPDs
Hernia piles clinic (Monday, Wednesday and Friday-4.00 PM to 7.00 PM) Patients are

advised to visit with prior appointment (one day earlier) An endeavor is made to educate the patient about his condition and the various treatment options available. When indicated immediate CPO treatment will be given for patients with 'piles'. When in-patient /operation is advised for hernia / 'piles' special package treatment will be available. For selected patients 'Day care' treatment will be offered for hernia operations.

Cancer screening programme in OPD.
There is a comprehensive cancer screening programme wherein following can be availed:-

Examination by Surgeon, ENT Specialist, Gynecologist Blood tests -Hb, TLC, OLC PAP smear Free literature on cancer prevention strategies will be given Advice on other tests, if required and further visits will be given

Ostomy clinic
The first of its kind in Noida, this daily OPD is run by a specially trained nurse. This OPD offers subsidized consultation and advice to all ostomy patients. Its is affiliated to various ostomy associations.

Day care surgery
The dept. is offering a large number of procedures on day care , wherein the patient is admitted & after surgery discharged the same day.
