Department
of paediatrics, a unit of Metro group of hospitals. is an advanced and well
developed department with doctors of national & international repute.
Activities of the department of Paediatrics
OPD services - from morning to evening (including Sundays). The
patients are provided expert opinions and patient education about diseases
and necessary counseling.
Vaccinations - are done for walk-in patients, inpatients and
follow-up patients of all kinds.
Daycare services - day care facilities are extended at nominal cost
to patients requiring short stay for diagnostic and treatment purposes.
Acute emergencies as bronchial asthma are initially managed with
nebulisations under expert guidance. Minor procedures as pleural taps,
ascitic taps, administration of chemotherapies are conducted here. The
daycare ward is fully equipped with all ultramodern and life saving devices.
PICU - the hospital has an ultramodern pediatric intensive care unit
with mechanical ventilation facilities and 24 hours vital monitoring devices
with expert nursing back up procedures like peritoneal dialysis, liver &
kidney biopsies, bone marrow aspirations, diagnostic taps are done here.
Most serious pediatric emergencies are managed in this unit.
NICU - one of the important features of the hospital in services is
a very good back up of fully equipped nursery. We manage here premature
infants. Neonatal ventilation, 24 hrs vital monitoring and expert nursing
care is a special feature of this bedded nursery. Therapeutic procedures
like. therapy exchange transfusion are done here.

Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation

The
department of physiotherapy, a unit of metro group of hospitals. provides
the best facilities available in the country. Physiotherapy is a practical
profession. Therapeutic clinical science is broadly composed of manual,
mechanical and electro therapies and achieve thermal mechanical, chemical
and electrical energy effects at cellular levels in tissues at different
depths.
These effects are regulated by the individualized dosimetry prescribed and
implemented by the physiotherapist.
