Auxiliary Nurse & Midwife (ANM)

Duration: 2 Years

 
Eligibility: 12th pass, Affiliated to State Medical faculty, Lucknow & INC, New Delhi.

 

Introduction
Nursing is a profession including range of specialties. Nursing includes the promotion of health, prevention of illness and care of the ill. Nurses strive to achieve the best possible for quality of life for their patients, regardless of disease or disability.

 

Teaching Methodology
The Training for Auxiliary Nurse and Midwife is offered as a 2 years duration course. The course cover all the related topics of the study field. The course is open to student who have successfully completed class 12 or its equivalent. Upon completion of the training the candidate can be register himself/herself as Registered ANM.

 

Career Prospectus
Registered ANM have good scope in public as well as private sector. They are specially trained to look after the health needs of people living mainly in the rural areas, particularly mother and child. All sectors are in high need of their service. They can also work as home nurses or as community health workers on a regular paid basis.

Health workers appreciate the concept of holistic health & understand the influence of socioeconomic & environment factors on the health status of the community. They also provide need based information & counseling related of health of individual and family & groups. They can manage the health centre including equipments & supplies & maintain the records in order to provide quality based community friendly healthcare services.
